TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PASTOR/EVANGELIST WORK IN LIFE AND PEACE GOSPEL MINISTRY.

Introduction:

These Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities, expectations, and obligations for the position of Pastor at Life and Peace Gospel Ministry International AKA Life and Peace Bible Believer Ministry International.

The Pastor is a key leader within the church community and is expected to align with and actively promote the vision and mission of the church. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions may result in disciplinary actions, including termination of employment.

  1. Employment Overview

1.1 Position Title: Pastor/Evangelist

1.2 Employer: Life and Peace Gospel Ministry International AKA Life and Peace Bible Believer Ministry International.

1.3 Employment Type: Full-time

1.4 Location: No permanent location, the Church Board/Leadership reserve the right to post you to any location at any location at any time.

  1. Vision And Mission Alignment

2.1 The Pastor must fully align with and actively support the vision and mission of Life and Peace Gospel Ministry International AKA Life and Peace Bible Believer Ministry International. you can click here to go back to previous page to  read our terms and condition

2.2 The Pastor is expected to lead the congregation in a manner consistent with these principles and ensure that all church activities, teachings, and outreach efforts are aligned with them.

2.3 The Pastor must continuously seek to understand and embody the church’s values, working with church leadership to ensure that all programs, sermons, and ministries reflect the church’s vision and mission.

2.4 Regular evaluations will be conducted by church leadership to assess the Pastor’s adherence to the vision and mission of the church.

  1. Key Responsibilities

3.1 Spiritual Leadership: Preach and teach the Bible, ensuring all messages align with the doctrinal beliefs of Life and Peace Gospel Ministry International AKA Life and Peace Bible Believer Ministry International, which is the biblical doctrine.

Pastors must Lead by example in personal devotion and conduct, modelling Christ-like behaviour.

3.2 Pastoral Care: Providing holy spiritual counselling and support to members of the congregation.

Officiate at church services, weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other ceremonies as needed.

3.3 Church Administration: Work in collaboration with church leadership and staff to develop and implement church programs and initiatives.

Manage church resources responsibly, including budgeting and financial oversight in conjunction with the church board/leadership.

3.4 Community Outreach: Pastor must Lead and participate in outreach activities that further the church’s vision and mission.

3.5 Leadership Development: Pastor are to Mentor and develop church leaders, including elders, deacons, ministry leaders, and volunteers.

Pastor must Encourage the spiritual growth and involvement of all church members.

  1. Code of Conduct:

4.1 The Pastor must uphold the highest standards of integrity, humility, and professionalism in all aspects of their ministry.

4.2 The Pastor shall maintain confidentiality in all counselling and sensitive church matters unless required by the General Overseer or by law to disclose information.

4.3 The Pastor must avoid any behaviour that could bring disrepute to Life and Peace Gospel Ministry International AKA Life and Peace Bible Believer Ministry International or conflict with the church’s vision, mission and values.

  1. Reporting and Accountability

5.1 The Pastor will report directly to the General Overseer and the Church Board/Leadership.

5.2 Regular meetings will be held with the Leadership to discuss church matters, evaluate performance, and review the Pastor’s adherence to the church’s vision and mission.

5.3 The Pastor is required to submit regular reports on church activities, including spiritual growth metrics, financial updates, and community outreach efforts to the church board/leadership.

  1. Performance Evaluation

6.1 The Pastor’s performance will be reviewed every six months by the Church Board/Leadership.

6.2 Evaluations will focus on the Pastor’s adherence to the church’s vision and mission, effectiveness in ministry, leadership abilities, and overall impact on the church community and growth.

6.3 Any areas of concern or needed improvement will be discussed, and a plan for addressing these areas will be developed.

6.4 In the event a pastor/Evangelist decided to leave, he will give life and peace gospel ministry, sixty days, notice in advance.

  1. Disciplinary Actions

7.1 If the Pastor fails to adhere to these terms and conditions, especially regarding alignment with the church’s vision and mission, disciplinary actions may be taken, including but not limited to:

Verbal or Written Warning: For minor infractions or initial failures to meet expectations.

Probation: A period during which the Pastor must demonstrate improvement in specific areas.

Suspension: Temporary removal from duties pending investigation of serious breaches.

Termination: Immediate dismissal from the position if the Pastor’s actions are deemed severely misaligned with the church’s vision and mission, or if repeated warnings are not heeded.

7.2 Grounds for immediate termination include, but are not limited to:

Gross misconduct or moral failure.

Persistent failure to align with or promote the church’s vision and mission.

Financial mismanagement or unethical handling of church resources.

Actions that cause significant harm to the church’s reputation or congregation.

  1. Termination Procedures

8.1 In the event of termination, the Pastor will be provided with written notice outlining the reasons for dismissal.

8.2 The Pastor will be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations before a final decision is made.

8.3 Upon termination, the Pastor must return all church property and settle any outstanding financial matters.

8.4 A severance package of three months salary will be provided based on the reason of leaving, unless termination is due to gross misconduct.

  1. Amendments

9.1 These Terms and Conditions may be amended by the Church Board/Leadership as necessary. Any amendments will be communicated to the Pastor in writing.

9.2 The Pastor must agree to and sign any amendments to these Terms and Conditions as a condition of continued employment.
